James "Zeek" Bailey, age 63 of Woodbine, Kentucky passed away at Knox County Hospital on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 7:15 PM. He was born in Stinking Creek, Tennessee on August 21, 1946 the son of Clarence Wichard and Mary B. (Poore) Bailey. James was employed as an automobile painter for more than 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, and loved playing music.
He is survived by three children, Rhonda Bailey, James "Bucky" Bailey, and Tonya Bailey; four grandchildren, Sabrina and Sebastian Nelson, Colton Bailey, and Serenity Stone; two brothers, John (Brenda) Tye and Larry (Sharon) Tye; and three sisters, Ella Mae Osborne, Donna (Ronnie) Paul, and Darlene "Patsy" (Kenny) McVey.
Funeral service will be held at the New Beginning Tabernacle, 2561 Ramona Lane, on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Charles Petit officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
