James M. Boggs

James M. Boggs, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born May 26, 1943 in Williams Creek, Kentucky to Belvia Lucas and Arnold Boggs. On October 30, 1965 he married the love of his life Charlotte (Glancy) Boggs in Hamilton. They were married for over 50 years until her untimely death in 2016.

James is survived by their two children, Chris (Jonetta) Boggs and Lisa (Cam) Parsons also of Hamilton. He was a proud papaw to 6 grandchildren; Dalton (Lauren) Boggs, Bailey (Webster) Boggs, Justin Parsons, Hunter (Naomi) Boggs, Cammy (Billy) Parsons, and Casey Parsons; and 6 great-grandchildren Louise Dennis, Stella Boggs, Beckham Boggs, Paisley Applegate, Amelia Boggs and soon to be Lennox Swain. He is also survived by sisters Pam Acuff, who looked after him daily, and Pearl Miller; his sister- in-laws Yvonne (Jerry) Mullins and Sheila (Bill) McCoy; and brother-in-law Lawrence Carroll, along with many special nephews and nieces. The family is so thankful for his friends of over 50 years, Larry and Jenny Glore, Carl and Cindy Byrd, Tina Ray, and Karen Langeuin. He liked all of the people of Eagles 407 and 3986. The family is also appreciative of the great care he received by the nurses of the Fort Hamilton ICU during his time there.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Wendell Coning officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
