James Harold Bowlin

James Harold Bowlin, age 66 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 4:30 PM. He was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on March 27, 1943 the son of Junior Mays and Dorothy Bowlin. Harold had been a longtime employee at Taylor Home Improvement.

He is survived by a son, Jimmy (Lisa) Bowlin of Hamilton and his mother, Judy Lowe of Hamilton; two daughters, Kimberly (James) Bell of West Chester and Jennifer (Shawn) Ventus of Hamilton, and their mother Nell Bowlin of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Whitney (William) Tate, Nicolle Bowlin, Ashea Bell, Qur’an Bell, Amauri Ventus, and Layton Ventus; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kobi; a sister, Marcia Bohman of Mooresville, North Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Mays, his mother, Dorothy Henry and her husband Arthur Henry; a brother, Larry Henry; and a sister, Brenda Mullen.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gary C. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
