James T. Flaherty, Jr.

James T. Flaherty Jr., age 52 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM. He was born in Hamilton on November 29, 1954 the son of James T. Sr. and Reista (Rollins) Flaherty. James was a 1973 graduate of New Miami High School. He retired from the U.S. Army after serving twenty years, from 1973 to 1993, where he received numerous awards and commendations. James was currently employed in tech support for Siemens in Mason. He was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church. On June 1, 2002 in Hamilton, he married Beverly "Sue" Saunders.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly "Sue" Flaherty of Hamilton; a daughter, Angela Renee (Patrick) Wright of Louisville, Kentucky; his mother, Reista Flaherty of Hamilton; two stepdaughters, Karla Augustine and Mallory Augustine, both of Hamilton; two sisters, Elizabeth (Ernie) Bowman of Hamilton and JoAnn (Ron) Davis of Painesville, Ohio; two golfing buddies, D. and Doug Saunders; family friend, Thelma Fahrenback of Hamilton; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Flaherty, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Michelle Mount.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ron Davis and Rev. Doug Saunders officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
