James S. Ivey, age 58 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Monday, July 8, 2019. James was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 25, 1961 to James D. Ivey and Saundra Rose. James enjoyed bowling and loved to fish. He was a machine operator at Ilsco from 8/20/2012 until his passing. James honorably served in the US Army from 5/27/1981 until 11/21/1984.
James is survived by his loving son, Joshua Ivey; his daughter, Lindsey McIntosh; his granddaughter Hollie Bates-McIntosh; his sisters, Tracie Ivey and Kari McDaniels; and his best friend Randall Johnson. James was preceded in death by his parents, James D. Ivey and Saundra Rose; and his grandmother, Bessie Ivey.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
