James "Jim" Leugers

James "Jim" L. Leugers, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Jim was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 29, 1935 to Harold and Marguerite (Schlickman) Leugers. He was a Kiwanis member and dedicated his time to the Kiwanis youth basketball as a coach and referee. Jim enjoyed golfing, and had three holes-in-one. He was an active member of the community and devoted his time to community service.

On June 16, 1956 he married Doris Fox at Queen of Peace Church. Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, together they had four children, Cindi Day, Lynne (Ronnie) Hibbard, Michael Leugers, and Mark (Amy) Leugers. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George (Betsy) Leugers and Larry (Debbie) Leugers. Jim is survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his siblings, Marguerite (John) Boggess, William (Marilyn) Leugers, and Jeanne (John) Creager, his brother-in-law, Gordon (Janet) Fox.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Fr. James Wedig officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. Hamilton 45013.
