James R. Jones Sr.

James R. Jones Sr., age 56 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 9:22 AM. He was born in North Fork, Virginia on June 6, 1953 the son of Charles M. Jr. and Ada Marie (Kastner) Jones. James was employed in the production department and as a forklift operator at Coca-Cola. He was a member of Laurel Avenue Church of Christ. James enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds on television, even though he never had a chance to go see them in person. He also really enjoyed eating at Hyde’s Restaurant, where he loved the breakfast and meatloaf dinner.

He is survived by three sons, James R. Jones Jr., Derek M. Jones, and Kenneth Brockman, all of Hamilton; a brother, Mike Jones of Middletown; three sisters, Brenda (Bob) Robinson of West Chester, Debbie (Doug) Collins and Shelia (Jim) Kelly, both of Middletown; his former wife, Angie Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles M. Jones III.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
