James Edward Karr, age 88 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Home on Saturday, August 10, 2024. James was born in Keavy, Kentucky on August 9, 1936 to Everett and Martha (nee Anders) Karr. He served in the United States Army. James retired from Hamilton City Schools after many years of service. He enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino.
James is survived by his children, Melody Karr and Phillip Karr; and his grandchildren, Sierra, Andrew and Marah Click. James was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Martha Karr; and his brothers, Doyle and Keith Karr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Walt Philpot officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
