James Thomas Murphy, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016. He was born in Middletown on February 23, 1924 to George and Laura (Benson) Murphy. On July 19, 1950 he married Ethelyn Stoops. James retired from Sorg Paper Company in Middletown.
He is survived by his wife, Ethelyn Fern Murphy; daughters, Vicki Jarvis, and Ellen Wilson; grandchildren, Brian (Krissy) McWhorter, Benjamin Wilson, and Deanna Anderson; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Haley, Owen, Allyson, Olivia, Bonnie, Scarlett, and Gage. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy Graff, and Nell Brown; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 5:00 - 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
