James B. "J.B." Murray

James B. "J.B." Murray, age 66 of Camden passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, August 18, 2009. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on September 14, 1942 the son of Brownie Blevins and Bertha (Cowans) Murray. J.B. was a retired bricklayer. On March 14, 1964 in Hamilton he married Nancy S. Lauer, and she preceded him in death in 2006.

He is survived by two sons, Mike (Ella) Murray of Hamilton and Kevin (Charlotte) Murray of Camden; a daughter, Melissa (Andy) Gregory of Fairfield; his mother, Bertha Murray of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Zach, Breanna, Elena, and Taylor Murray; four brothers, Bill (Theresa) Murray of Hamilton, Ronnie (Cornelia) Murray of Tennessee, Benny Murray of California, and Bobby (Linda) Murray of Ross; two sisters, Linda (Larry) Marcum of Hamilton and Candy (Keith Abbott) Murray of Blanchester; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife; and a sister, Loretta Hayre.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Charlotte for her care over the last few years and to the staff of Hospice of Hamilton for their concern and support.
