James W. O

James W. O’Connor, age 78, of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, December 12, 2008. He was born in Hamilton on February 27, 1930 the son of James Phillip and Irene Louise (Lagedrost) O’Connor. James was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. In 1967 he graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor Degree in business. He retired from Ford Motor Co. as a Cost Analyst in 1988 after 30 years of service.

He is survived by two sisters, Alice Kuhlmann and Patricia O’Connor; a host of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a close friend, Jim Winkle. He was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, John O’Connor, Mary Jane O’Connor, Kay DiGiorgio, and Bob (Marsha) O’Connor; and special friend, Marilyn (Bird) Case.

A memorial service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Wednesday, Dec. 17th at 6:00 PM with Father Larry Tharp officiating. Cremation has been held. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 PM to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or the charity of your choice.
