James G. Richardson, age 88 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 7:45 AM. He was born in Madison County, Kentucky on September 17, 1924 the son of Vernon and Mamie (Miller) Richardson. James was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He was employed as a calendar operator at Beckett Paper Company for 40 years, retiring in 1990. James was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church. On December 24, 1943 he married Geneva Frost.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Richardson of Hamilton; a son, Roger (Donna) Richardson of Nashville, Tennessee; four brothers, Lester (Cletha) Richardson, Donald Richardson, both of Richmond, Kentucky, Vernon (Cathy) Richardson of Hamilton, and Roy (Imogene) Richardson of Dayton; four sisters, Ruby Hamilton, Mary (Jimmy) Black, Carol (Chuck) Henley, all of Richmond, Kentucky, and Alena Lathery of Connersville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Lisa (Tim) Baker of Mattawan, Michigan and Gina (Wade) Warren of Nashville, Tennessee; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Baker, Jake Baker, and Sky Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ernest Richardson; and three sisters, Geneva Ditamso, Jean Gray, and Opal Lamb.
Funeral service will be held at the Faith Pentecostal Church, 719 Kenworth Avenue, on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Rick Witt officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon.
