James R. Tabor

James R. Tabor, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, May 9, 2021.  He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 26, 1936 the son of David and Mary Louise (Rogers) Tabor.  James was employed at Ford Motor Company for more than 42 years, retiring in 2000.  On April 26, 1958 in Hamilton, he married Minnie Gray.  James was the assistant pastor at Redeemer Baptist Church in Williamsdale.  He was a member of the U.A.W and loved gardening.

James is survived by wife of 63 years, Minnie E. Tabor; two children, Paula (Michael) Tabor-Trentacoste and James Russell (Deborah) Tabor Jr.; one granddaughter, Victoria Tabor; two sisters, Joetta (Michael) Ledgerwood and Mary Ellen (Richard) Thompson; two sisters-in-law, Jenny Gadd and Barbara (Ron) Hall; and numerous other loved ones and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at Redeemer Baptist Church, 3751 Trenton Rd, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Richard Coldiron and Brother Gerald Downs, officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the church.h.  Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com.
