James L. Tirey

James L. Tirey, age 39 of Fairfield, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. James was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on July 9, 1984 to Richard Tirey and LeeAnn (Koger) Tirey. James loved his family very much and had a special relationship with his father. He had a loving, giving heart and would give his shirt off his back to anyone. He loved to read his bible every day, believed good always won over bad and evil ways, and always had a kind word to say about everyone. James loved being outdoors and keeping busy in his father’s garden or doing any yard work that his dad ever needed. James had loved fishing since he was a little boy, playing baseball, and watching football with his dad and brother Kevin.  Anyone who knew James knew how much he loved his food: he could put away a 5lb roast in one sitting and still want more, which is something he and his father had in common. James was a great son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

James is survived by his parents, Richard and LeeAnn Tirey; siblings, Heather (Terry Noe) Tirey and Kevin (Courtney) Tirey; nieces, Savannah and Libby: nephews, Travis and Derick; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. James was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
