James Michael Vance aka Tanker left this world on December 12, 2014 after a brief but bravely fought battle with cancer.He was born on May 24, 1978 at Fort Hamilton Hospital to Karl and Georgie Vance. He was a 1997 graduate of Fairfield High School and a 2001 graduate of Antonelli College of Art & Design where he received an associates degree in Commercial Art. Jim married the love of his life, Holly Fields, on October 16, 2010. He was employed as a Manager at the Kwik N Kold in Fairfield for 14 years and was adored by many of his customers and members of the community. Jim was a talented artist who could make amazing things out of any medium put before him. He loved music from many genres and attended hundreds of concerts. He loved cars, especially his Mustang "Sallie". Jim was the guy you could talk to about anything and he always seemed to know the right thing to say. He had an awesome sense of humor and everybody he talked to left his presence laughing and smiling. He was a doting and devoted husband, loving son, protective brother and dear friend. He will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife Holly Vance, parents Karl and Georgie, sisters Lisa (Rick) Wesley, and Tina Vance, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and two nieces who he adored. In lieu of flowers, Jim requested donations be made in his name to the Animal Adoption Foundation in Hamilton, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2 PM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.
