James W. Huff

James W. Huff, age 54, of Hamilton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born June 2, 1961 in Hamilton, Ohio to Otis and Carol Huff. He was a 1979 graduate of Taft High School and a member of the Tigers football team. He was employed at Shape Supply Inc. He was an avid bird hunter and loved all of his hunting dogs, Abby, Kelsey, Zoe and Bo. Jim’s pride and joy were his flowers and lawn which were always meticulous. Jim’s favorite hobbies also included operating the side line chains for Miami University and Badin High School. He was also an Indiana basketball fan.

Jim was united in marriage to Linda L. Cheatham on September 19, 1981. He is survived by his wife Linda, a son Dan, a daughter Jenna, his parents Otis and Carol, a father-in-law Don Cheatham, sister- in -law and brother- in- law Diane & Doug Moore of Philadelphia, PA and their children, Eric, Ryan and Alyssa. Also his nephews Robby (Amanda) and Brian (Caroline) Huff. He is also survived by many great friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his brother Rod Huff and his mother-in-law Betty Cheatham. Jim was a person who touched lives everywhere he went and he continues to do so by being an organ donor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 5PM-8PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the Hamilton Meijer US Bank branch 1560 Main St., to the account name of Linda L. Huff Donation Account.
