Pastor Rich Webb

December 31, 1952 — June 23, 2025

Port Charlotte, Florida

Pastor Rich Webb, a devoted servant of God, loving husband, cherished dad, proud “Pap”, dedicated son, beloved brother and faithful friend, passed peacefully and received Heaven’s ultimate reward on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the age of 72. Pastor Rich is survived by his loving wife Sheila, his children Jessica and Ross, his grandchildren Austin and Sophie, his brothers Bob (Betty) and Garry (Teresa), his mother-in-law Julie, his brother-in-law Doug (Paula), his sister-in-law Vicki and a host of extended family members and devoted friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Pearl and Geneva Webb and his father-in-law Howard Gilliam.

Born with a heart full of compassion and purpose, Pastor Rich dedicated his life to serving others through ministry, missions and unwavering love. His call led him not only to the pulpit but also to the community as well as to distant lands. No matter where he was, he shared the Gospel, offered hope and built lasting relationships. Missions – whether locally or globally – were not just a part of his ministry – it was his heartbeat!! Over 22 years ago, he became the founding pastor of FaithLife Church. This wonderful congregation has been the center of his ministry ever since. He also served his community as an active board member of Habitat for Humanity for 14 years.

He was a beloved husband to Sheila, with whom he shared almost 49 years of marriage rooted in faith, laughter, serving together arm-in-arm and unconditional love. Together they built a home that reflected God’s love. Their home has been a consistent place of encouragement, prayer, generosity and hospitality!

Pastor Rich was a proud dad to Jessica and Ross, who were his greatest treasures. He constantly poured wisdom, grace and love into them and lived a Godly example before them. His two grandchildren, Austin and Sophie, were the joy of his heart. His commitment and love for them was obvious and unquestionable. He not only loved Jessica, Ross, Austin and Sophie unconditionally – he also left a part of himself in each of them. His legacy is not what he did, but who he was! He left a clear and defined road map for them to follow to not only have abundant life here, but eternally!

To his extended family and friends, he was constant – faithful in prayer, rich in counsel, quick to listen and generous with time and love. His presence was calming and his words carried peace. He was the same, whether in the pulpit, in the community, boating, on the pickleball court or in his home.

The family wants to give a special thank you to the Moffitt Cancer Center, Dr. Mintallah Haider and Tiffany Romershausen, APRN for the excellent and personal care they provided to Rich. We are forever grateful.

Though our hearts ache with his absence, we rejoice in knowing he is now with the Lord he served so faithfully. His legacy of love, missions, and ministry will continue to live on through his family and through the countless lives he touched.

A celebration of his life will be held on June 28, 2025 at Community Life Center located at 19048 Edgewater Drive, Port Charlotte, Florida, 33948, with visitation beginning at 2:00pm with the service following. There will also be a memorial service at his initial home church, Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton-Glendale Road, Liberty Township, Ohio, 45011 on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, with visitation beginning at 5:00pm. He will be laid to rest privately at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio.
