James W. Wooten

James W. Wooten, age 91 of Oxford, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. James was born in Combs, Kentucky on July 4, 1926 to William Wooten and Martha Baker Wooten. He married Beatrice Knox May 24, 1945 in Hamilton, OH. James was a long time member of the Church of Christ. He retired from Teamsters Local 100 of Cincinnati and then went on to work for Savage Auto Parts for another 16 years.

James is survived by children, Diana (Terry) O'Hara, James T. (Peggy) Wooten, Jackie (Randall) Jackson and William (Joyce) Wooten; brother, Walter (Lola) Wooten; 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha; wife, Beatrice; siblings, Ann, Gertrude, Edna, Betty, Helen, Doug, Pauline and Lyman; grandchildren, Amy Mathews, Cody Wooten and Jacob Phelps.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Charles Anderson and Mark Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hamilton.
