James J. Zimmerman

James J. Zimmerman, age 78 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Monday, April 23, 2012. He was born in Hamilton on May 30, 1933, the son of James and Margaret (Welsh) Zimmerman. James was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Butler Council. On November 3, 1962, he married Hazel "Shirley" Baker. He is survived by his wife, Hazel "Shirley" Zimmerman; son, Robert J. (Pamela) Zimmerman; grandson, Josh Zimmerman; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Randolph Zimmerman; and brother, Gerald D. Zimmerman, MD. A memorial service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, May 8, 2012, in Mercy Franciscan at Schroder Manor Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, Hospice of Cincinnati, Hamilton Community Foundation, or to Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra Fund.
