Janet M. Withrow

Janet M. Withrow, age 87 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. Janet was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 13, 1930 to James and Hazel (Hill) Stricker. She went to St. Peter in Chains School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1948. On April 27th, 1957, Janet married the love of her life, Cletus "Dee Dee" Withrow. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Peter in Chains. Janet worked in administration for the State of Ohio Employment Office for 35 years, retiring in 1984.

Janet is survived by her loving husband, Cletus "Dee Dee" Withrow; her two sisters, Marjorie Becker of Dayton and Jeanne Stricker of Hamilton; and many loving nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Jim "Boots" Stricker and Robert "Tank" Stricker.

Funeral service will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 451 Ridgelawn Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent DePaul of St. Peter in Chains.
