Janet Katherine Skinner

Janet Katherine Bowling Skinner passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026 at the age of 79, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Janet is survived by her son Shayne (Angela) Skinner; her brother, Dan Bowling; her grandchildren, Samantha Lightfield, Jessica (Andy) Moore, Kylee Robinson, Jesse Lightfield, Elly Lohr, and Justin (Letta) Nipper; her great-grandchildren, Cooper Miller, Chloe Clements, Phoenix Wright, Jackson Moore, Ozzy Nipper, and Ivy Nipper.

Janet is also survived by her brother- in- laws, Dean Skinner and Steve (Carol) Skinner; sister-in-law, Linda Hyden; her nephews, Damon (Tracie) Bowling Christopher Skinner, Greg (Missy) Skinner, Jeff (Jennifer) Skinner, Dylan Skinner and Tony Hyden; her nieces, Darcie Bowling, Jessi Skinner, Stephanie Adelsperger, Niki (Shawn) Jelil, Emily Skinner and Angie Mahler; along with many more cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her father Walter Bowling; her mother Pearl (Martin) Bowling; her beloved husband, Gregory Lynn Skinner; and her brother-in-law, Dale Skinner.

Janet will be remembered most for her kindness, love for her family and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her laughter, love and memories she created will live forever in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 330 Pershing Ave. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00PM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
