Janet L. (Miller) (Graves) Wadleigh, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Hospice of Hamilton after a long illness. She was born in Hamilton on December 23, 1934 to Lee and Clara Belle (Robbins) Miller. She was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church. Janet was a primary teacher at Taylor and Pierce Schools in Lindenwald for 31 years. After retiring she continued to give by volunteering at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She loved to read, was always doing some type of craft, and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Janet especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Wadleigh; children, Deborah (Gary) Burnett, Richard (Kim) Graves and Pamela (Steve) Morningstar; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and brothers, Robert (Mary) Miller and Jack Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; a great grandson, Tyler Buck; and a sister-in-law, Pat Miller. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Peggy Moore officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lupus Foundation or to Hospice of Hamilton in her honor.
