Jason Tracy Scott

Jason Tracy Scott, age 51 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Jason was born in Lima, Ohio on August 22, 1974 to Dennis Lynn and Rebecca Jeanne (nee Tracy) Scott. Jason graduated from Elida High School in 1992 and went on to attend the University of Cincinnati. On May 10, 2003, he married his truest partner, Yvette Kolb. Together they had four children, Alena Grace, Alivia Mae, Tracy Kolb, and Alysse Lauren, who all survive him.

Jason is also survived by his parents; sister, Jeanne Scott; nephew, Kolten Scott; in-laws, David and Jeanne Kolb, Mandy Kolb, Angie (Greg Meyer) Kolb, and David (Brittany) Kolb; several nieces and nephews; devoted aunts and uncles; and pets, Stu and Smoke. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Nora Scott, and Harold and Marjorie Tracy.

Jason began working for Butler County in December of 2000 in the Information Services Department. He went on to become the Butler County Board of Commissioners’ Information Technology Manager. Jason was an avid sports fan, who loved coaching youth sports teams as his kids were growing up and officiating local swim meets. In his youth, he was involved in Allen County’s 4-H program where he was a horse showman and contest rider. Jason was a dedicated public servant who lived life to the fullest.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hamilton Community Foundation scholarship fund, www.hamiltonfoundation.org, or to the Allen County 4-H Horse Council, 6066 Kerr Rd. Lima, Ohio 45806 in Jason’s honor.
