Jean Askew

Jean Askew, age 74 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 1:30 AM. She was born in Hamilton on June 8, 1933 the daughter of Oliver Sr. and Della Hensley. She was a member of Happy Corners Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Renee (John) Willis of Grenada, California; four sons, Craig (Ingrid) Askew of Liberty Township, Scott (Anita) Askew and Barry (Patricia) Askew, both of Hamilton, and John Wyatt of Sacramento, California; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Askew in 1983; daughter, Rita Taylor in 1989; her parents; two brothers, Oliver Hensley Jr. and Clinton Hensley; three sisters, Darlene Goins, Mary Croucher and Cleta Mills.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
