Jean Barger

Jean Barger, age 90 of New Miami, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 8:45 PM. She was born in Perry County, Kentucky on March 13, 1924 the daughter of Beverly Pryor Bowling and Martha (Napier) Bowling. On March 2, 1946 in Bowlingtown, Kentucky she married Milton "Buck" Barger and he preceded her in death in 2010.

She is survived by four children, Keith (Sharon ) Barger of Cordova, Tennessee, Anthony (Patsy) Barger of Hamilton, Larry (Gina) Barger of Hamilton, and Sandra Loeffler of Cashmere, Washington; one sister, Nancy Barnes of Maysville, Kentucky; one brother, Beverly P. (Mary) Bowling of Ormond Beach, Florida; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; two sisters, Clare Gay and Louise Anderson; and three brothers-in-law, Harlan Gay, Doug Anderson, and Bige Barnes.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gary Clemmons of Liberty Heights Church officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Golden Years Nursing Center for all their care and support.
