Jean P. Carter

Jean P. Carter, age 86 of Oxford, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Jean was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 31, 1930 to Charles Pope and Catherine (Warwick) Pope. Jean met the love of her life Calvin C. Carter at D. Russell Lee School, and they were married on December 12, 1948 in Hamilton, OH. Calvin preceded her in death in 2008. She was also a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oxford. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her two children, Joy (Larry) Hornung of Brookville, IN, and Judy Carter of Liberty, IN; four grandchildren, Samantha (Brad) Blades, Lori Hornung, Larry (Kara) Hornung, and Scott Hatfield; and seven great grandchildren, Dylan, Nathan, Kyla, Aubrey, Hannah, Garrett, and Kason. Jean was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
