Jean Hampton, age 88 of Oxford, passed away at Knolls of Oxford Health Care on Friday, December 29, 2017. She was born in Hot Spot, Kentucky on May 17, 1929 the daughter of John and Ida (Banks) Gilley.
Jean is survived by three sons, Glen (Kathy) Hampton Jr, Delbert (Cindy) Hampton, and David (Cheryl) Hampton; seven granddaughters; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glendon Hampton; and three siblings.
Funeral service will be held at Ambassadors Pointe, 5450 College Corner Pike, Oxford, on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Dean Van Winkle of Harmony Road Church, Bath, Indiana officiating. Burial will follow at College Corner Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesdayfrom 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Ambassadors Pointe.
