Jean Carol Poulemanos

Jean Carol Poulemanos, age 88 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Jean was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 18, 1928 to Albert and Edna (Ebinger) Smith. Jean was gracious, kind, loving, and she possessed a quiet-strength grounded in her spiritual beliefs. She enjoyed knitting, dancing with the Dancing Belles, practicing yoga, and spending time with family. On September, 22, 1949 she married Pete Poulemanos, and together they had three sons. Jean enjoyed a fulfilling personal and professional life. She retired from a career with the Hamilton City Schools.

Jean is survived by her sons, Steve (Linda), Timothy, and Michael (Tom Hutchison) Poulemanos, her grandchildren, Alex (Jill) and Adam (Patricia), her great grandchildren, Archer, Logan, Bradley, and two on the way, her sister, Faye Ary, her close family members, James and Martha Herold, and her sister-in-law, Martha Cappony. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Poulemanos, her parents, her beloved niece, Lynn Rachel Ary, and her brother-in-law, Rev. Joseph Ary. The family would like to thank the staff at Ft. Hamilton Hospital 5 Main, Hospice of Hamilton, and Dr. Jennifer Winters for their wonderful care and compassion.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. followed by a private service for family only. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hamilton or Silent Unity.
