Jeanette Howard

Jeanette Howard, age 82 of Trenton passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 8:55 PM. She was born in Franklin, Ohio on March 11, 1928 the daughter of Jacob and Bessie Lee (Neely) Gabbard. Jeanette was employed as a meat cutter at McGee’s in Middletown for 25 years, retiring in 1969. She was a member of Poastown First Church of God. On June 11, 1980 in Hamilton she married Ollie G. Howard who preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by three children, Randy (Scarlet) Vaughn of Trenton, Kathy Joy (Chuck) Purvis of Franklin, and Virginia (Tommy) Parker of Anville, Kentucky; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Billy Gabbard; and five sisters, Jessie Leona Bodner, Ruthie Caudill, Betty Bessette, Bernice Yauch, and Linda Gabbard. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Chuck Purvis, Jeanette’s son-in-law, and Rev. Kenny Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
