Jeanie Trent Rubush

Jeanie Trent Rubush, age 68 of Brookville, Indiana, passed away at McCullough Hyde Hospital on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 1:30 PM. She was born in Richmond, Kentucky on November 24, 1940 the daughter of Luther and Mary (Mullins) Settles. Jeanie was employed by Lodder’s Flowers for many years, retiring in 1988. On March 4, 1956 in Brookville she married John Trent, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1989 and on April 23, 1993 in Brookville she married Bruce Rubush.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Rubush of Brookville; three children, Ronald Trent of Brookville, Robin (Robert J.) Schmidt of West Harrison, IN and Debbie Engle of Bath, IN; two brothers, Robert (Gerri) Settles of Millville and John (Hester) Settles of Kanakee, IL; one sister, Pauline Wagers of Hamilton; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Lucille Rubush of Brookville; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Barb) Rubush of Brookville and Carl (Anita) Rubush of Hamilton; and a sister-in-law, Kim (Steve) Roemer of Brookville. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Evelyn Dawes.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 12 noon with Pastor Don Thie of Ross Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12 noon at the funeral home.
