Jeannette Marks

Jeannette Marks, age 88 of Seneca, South Carolina, formerly of Hamilton, passed away at Cottingham Hospice House on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 12:07 PM. She was born in Gray Hawk, Kentucky on October 16, 1920 the daughter of Chester and Nora (Welch) Edwards. Jeannette was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Co-operative Service League, and the Lady Elks Golf League. In 1942 in Corpus Christi, Texas she married Marion "Easy" Marks.

She is survived by her daughter, Janna (Charles) Smith of Seneca, South Carolina; a son, Michael (Mattie) Marks of Lexington, Kentucky; a granddaughter; three step great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Lou West of Portland, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Calvin Edwards; and two sisters, Alva Edwards and Dorothy Malott.

Funeral service will be held at the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 2421 Princeton Road, on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Dr. John H. H.
