Jeffrey D. Lockhart

Jeffrey D. Lockhart, age 49 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday March 3, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina on November 12, 1962 the son of James R. and Charlotte (Calia) Lockhart. Jeffrey was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1984, where he served as a medivac medic for the 101st Airborne in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was employed in sales for VWR Scientific for the past nine years. Jeffrey was a member of The Student Veterans Association at Miami University and Hamilton Church of God.

He is survived by his mother, Charlotte (William) True of Hamilton; three children, Zachariah Lockhart of Hamilton, Justin Lockhart and Lewis Lockhart, both of Cincinnati; a brother, Michael Lockhart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and a sister, Melissa (David) Ferguson of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be held at the Hamilton Church of God, 1760 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Alan Weaver officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Church of God in care of Jeffrey Lockhart.
