Jeffrey Proffitt

Jeffrey Proffitt, age 52 of Hamilton, passed away at UC Medical Center on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Jeff was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 16, 1968 to Delmas and Ada Pearl (nee Bowling) Proffitt. Jeff graduated from Hamilton High School, where he studied carpentry at the vocational school. He went on to become a carpenter; building houses, decks and teaching his skills along the way. Jeff enjoyed fishing, kayaking, canoeing, playing pool and weaving paracord. Jeff will be remembered for his loving and caring nature, and has left his mark on each and every project.

Jeff is survived by his significant other, Susan Morris; his sons, Jesse and Cody Proffitt; his step-daughter, Stephanie (John Ryan Long) Morris; his granddaughter, Layla Morris; his sister, Brenda (Joe) Johnson; his nephews, Joey Johnson and Aaron Johnson; and many other family and friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Delmas and Ada Pearl Proffitt.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The National Kidney Foundation,1373 Grandview Avenue Suite 200, Columbus OH 43212.
