Jeremy Ryan Egelston, age 37, of Trenton, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Jeremy was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on April 20, 1989, to Joseph Egelston Jr. and Susanne (Schorr) Egelston.
He graduated from Hamilton High School with the Class of 2008 and later pursued a career in public safety, graduating from Butler Tech’s Police Academy in 2014. Jeremy was employed at GE Aerospace, where he served as plant security.
On November 17, 2018, Jeremy married the love of his life, Amber Rowland. Together they raised their two sons, Jaxon and Mason, who were his entire world. He was so proud of them each and every day for how hard they work at everything they do. The way his eyes would light up any time he saw them was something unforgettable. Not to mention his contagious smile when they would make him laugh. Jeremy will always carry the best dad award without a doubt. “Ripping baseball packs” will always be something they carry on in their dad’s memory. There was something about opening a brand new pack of baseball cards that brought them all three the same excitement and the boys will forever cherish those sweet memories.
If you knew Jeremy growing up, it was probably through playing baseball at WSLL. He could have spent every day of his youth doing just that- and through coaching, he found that passion again later in life. Jeremy was the Director of Edgewood’s Youth Select Basketball Program and dedicated countless hours to coaching his sons in baseball —from tee-ball through their recent team, the Twin Creek Mudcats. Nothing brought him more joy than helping kids improve and teaching them to love the game, no matter the sport. He treated any kid like his own and truly enjoyed being a positive role model for them.
Jeremy never knew a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He would do anything for anybody and was widely known for his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help those around him. His caring heart, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to family and friends left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Jeremy is survived by his wife of eight years, Amber Egelston; his sons, Jaxon and Mason; his mother, Susanne Egelston; his sisters, Jenny Egelston, Jodi (Kevin) Hardwick, and Jamie Egelston; his mother-in-law, Jean Hall; his father-in-law, Mark Hall; his brother-in-law, Brody Eldridge; his nieces and nephews, Joey, Lily, Baxter, Jonny, Gracie, and Bentley; along with many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Egelston Jr.; his brother, Joseph “Joey” Egelston III; and his grandparents, William and Helena Schorr, Patricia and Joseph Egelston Sr., and Lommie Proffitt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Cecil Benge officiating at the funeral home.
