Jerry Burns

Gerald “Jerry” Burns, age 84 of Fairfield Township, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Jerry was born in Panco, Kentucky on November 3, 1941, to Roscoe Burns and Esther (Cornett) Burns. Jerry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. On October 17, 1970, in Hamilton, he married Dana McQuinley, and together they shared 55 years of marriage. He had a fulfilling career as a welder at General Electric in Evendale, where he worked for 40 years before retiring in 2000. Jerry's passions included motorcycles, camping, racing, kayaking, and traveling. One of the highlights of his adventurous spirit was a once-in-a-lifetime motorcycle trip to Alaska with his closest friends. 

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Dana Burns; his daughters, Pam (Bo) Saylor, Becky (Steven) Chrisman, and Holly (Noel) Burns; his grandchildren, Steven (Kim) Saylor, Kayleigh (Gabe) Brown, Danny (Abby) Burns, Brooke Chrisman, Delaney (Caden) Robinette, and Chloe Robinette; his four great grandchildren, Jazmyn, Lexi, Connor, and Paxton; his brothers in laws, Mike McQuinley, and Jeff (Linda) McQuinley; and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Esther Burns; and one sister, Janet Burns.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM with Jamie Coleman officiating. Private burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinsons Foundation or Hospice of Cincinnati (Hamilton). The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Hamilton and also his caregivers for all of their care and support.
