Jerry Durren

Jerry Durren, age 79 of Middletown passed away at Hillandale Health Care on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:45 PM. He was born in Dowagiac, Michigan on July 20, 1930 the son of March and Marjorie (Paul) Durren. Jerry was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the United States Air Force from 1948-1952. He was employed as a machinist for Boeing in Portland, Oregon for 20 years, retiring in 1983. On June 20, 1953 in Benton Harbor, Michigan he married Joan Bravender.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Durren of Middletown; four children, Randy Durren of Roxboro, North Carolina, Jeffrey Durren of Dowagiac, Michigan, Jeri Ann Durren of Middletown, and David Durren of Newport News, Virginia; two brothers, Jon (Jane) Durren of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Gene (Joan) Durren of St. Joseph, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Carrie, Joshua, Jaime, Jason, Jennifer, Benjamin, and Jacob; and five great-grandchildren, Alyciana, Josselyn, Tony, Janelle, and Adriana. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lee Durren.

Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
