Jerry Parker, age 57 of Hamilton passed away in Hospice of Blue Ash on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 12:15 AM. He was born in Cincinnati on September 23, 1953 the son of Robert and Gloria (Hetz) Parker. Jerry was a member of God’s Temple and the Elks Lodge #93 and was employed as a mechanic for Queen City Metro Bus Co. for 10 years, retiring in 2001. On November 7, 1975 in Hamilton he was married to Shirley Carter.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Parker of Hamilton; his father and stepmother, Robert (Carolyn Sue) Parker of Hamilton; one son, Gary (Angela) Parker of Columbus, Indiana; one daughter, Heather (Brian) Linser of Hamilton; one brother, Terry Parker of Kettering, Ohio; two granddaughters, Allison Elizabeth and Alaney Marie Parker. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Carter; two sisters-in-law, Valerie Trissell and Blanche Carter; a brother-in-law, John W. Carter, Jr., all of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Parker; by his grandparents Chester and Della Parker, George and Hazel Hetz, and his father-in-law, John W. Carter Sr.

Funeral services will be held at God’s Temple, 3600 Millikin Rd., on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Valerie Trissell, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to God’s Temple Outreach Ministries and Food Pantry.
