Jerry R. Combs

Jerry R. Combs, age 76 of Fairfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Jerry was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 7, 1948 to Edward Combs and Beatrice (Bauer) Combs. He was proud of his service in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Jerry was a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished dogs, especially his girls Allie, Candy and Rosie. The best concert that he could attend was one being played by his only son. His retirement goal was to spend time fishing in Florida with his sister. Jerry attended Winton Road First Church of God for many years.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Combs; son, Jerry Lee (Amy) Combs; daughter, Diana (Orie) Bailey; sister, Vicky McKeever; grandchildren, Andrew (Charity), Anna (Mark), Allyssa (Luis), Tatum, Caroline and Connor; 5 great-grandchildren, Noelle, Liam, Noah, Winter and Jameson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Beatrice Combs; great-grandson, Dallas Ray; sister, Carol Wagers; and aunt, Dorothy Wilhoit.

Funeral service will be held at Winton Road First Church of God, 6200 Winton Rd., Fairfield, Ohio, on Monday, July  1, 2024 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, July  1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Winton Road First Church of God. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Haiti Mission at Winton Road First Church of God or Vietnam Veterans of America.
