Jerry Don Slinker, age 69 of Fairfield Township passed away at Christ Hospital on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 12:27 PM. He was born in Waldron, Indiana on June 18, 1938 the son of Fred and Violet (Archey) Slinker. Jerry served his country with the US Marine Corp. from November 21, 1956 until September 10, 1959. He was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God. On July 11, 1964 in Connersville, Indiana he married Judy Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Slinker of Fairfield Township; one daughter, Karen Slinker of Sunrise, Florida; two sons, Jason Slinker of Xenia, Ohio and Jerason (Kim) Slinker of Hamilton; two nieces, Stephanie (Dennis) Smith of Cincinnati and Melissa (Bobby) McCray of Fairfield Township; two grandchildren, Logan and Paige; two great-nephews, Justin and Brandon McCray both of Fairfield Township; a great-niece, Mikayla McCray of Fairfield Township; his mother-in-law, Beulah Johnson of Connersville, Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Janet (Raymond) Herbert of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his infant brother.
Funeral Service will be held at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton-Glendale Road, on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Barry Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
