Jesse Mac Barrett, age 76 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospice Unit on Friday, April 6, 2007 at 4:40 PM. He was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on April 20, 1930 the son of Gilbert and Mabel (Baker) Barrett. Jesse was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam with the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1973. He was employed as a security guard for Guardsmark. On July 22, 1950 in Brookville, Indiana he married Jean Earls.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Barrett of Hamilton; one daughter, Georgette (Richard) Snyder of Hamilton; one son, Gary M. (Terri) Barrett of Indianapolis; one nephew, Gary (Robin) Madden of West Chester; five grandchildren, Jessica (Tony) Owens, Christopher R. Davis, Ricki D. Snyder, all of Hamilton, Lee (Hollie) Barrett and Jacob R. Barrett, both of Indianapolis; and a great-grandson, Conner Owens. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George W. Barrett; and one sister, Olive Madden.
Funeral service will be held at the Landmark Baptist Temple, 1600 Glendale-Milford Road, Evendale, on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Duke Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
