Jesse Bellamy, Jr.

Jesse Bellamy, Jr., age 71 of Fairfield Township passed away at his home on Monday, January 21, 2008. He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on April 29, 1936 the son of Jesse Sr. and Nora (Gross) Bellamy. He was employed by Ford Motor Company in Batavia for 24 years, retiring on October 1, 1996. Jesse enjoyed fishing and hunting, and attending church whenever possible. On August 18, 1953 in Liberty, Indiana he married Wanda Lewis.

He was a loving husband and devoted father who is survived by his wife, Wanda L. Bellamy of Fairfield Township; two daughters, Marlene (Jim) Rogers of St. Clair Township and Cheri (David) Johnson of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Jesse (Kelly) Donley, Leah (Andy) Ivy, Jessica Morgan and Justin Morgan; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Bailey, Madison, and Landen; a brother, Robert (Marge) Bellamy of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; a sister, Carol (Al) Rogers of Indiana; his mother-in-law, Virgie Lewis of Fairfield Township; brother-in-law, Lonnie (Mabel) Lewis of Fairfield Township; and numerous relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby and Lela; and his father-in-law, Claude Lewis.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Revs. Jim and Diane Mullins of Calvary Christian Center officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hospice of Cincinnati, and Jesse’s family and friends for their love and support during the past twelve years.
