Jessie S. Powell, age 49 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 6:18 PM. She was born in Hamilton on June 22, 1967 the daughter of Samuel andWanda (Maxwell) Crawford. Jessie was employed as a hostess at Hueston Woods for a number of years.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Powell; three children, Shawn Whitaker, Terry (Tyffany) Whitaker, and Mindy (David) Sparks; her mother, Wanda Wilson; father-in-law, Herb Powell; two brothers, Samuel and Daniel Crawford; two sisters, Gerri Wilson and Tammy Crawford; two stepchildren, Jeremiah and Jessica Powell; and thirteen grandchildren, Ethan, Audrey, Sarah, Kaylee, Nathan, David, Lilyann, Jeremiah Jr, Karma, Bryce, Aaron, Devin, and Faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Crawford.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
