Jessie W. "Jake" Mills

Jessie “Jake” Mills, age 68 of Camden, formerly of New Miami, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024. Jake was born in Hammond, Kentucky on February 22, 1956 to James and Edna Mills. Jake retired from Ohio Operating Engineers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being a mentor. Everyone that knew him called him Papaw Jake or Uncle Jake.

Jake is survived by his wife of 5 years, Lorraine Mills; his children, Heather (the late Scott) Trent, James (Cathy) Mills, Melinda (Joe) Brock and Stacey (David) Parker; his step-sons, Joshua and Jeremey Harris; his grandchildren, James (Brooke), Chris (Catrina), Austin, Bailey (Addy), Jacob, Jessi (Camren), Dontez, Preston, Braxton, Nehemiah, Mason, Taylor, Shelby (Matt), Brooklynn, Angel and Waylon; his great-grandchildren, Lakynn, Hunter, James, Kaylor, Kaisley, Kaysinn, Maci, Carson, Kolton and Weston; his siblings, John Mills, Maxene (Lee) Holland, Edna (Calvin) Williams, Judy (Kathleen) Mills and Bessie Shoemaker; his brother in law, Steve (Linda) Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews. Jake was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edna Mills; his late wife, Vivian Kay Mills; his daughter, Edna Mills; his son-in-law, Scott Trent; and his siblings, Willie Mills and Evelyn Beare.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio.  Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Steve Allen officiating.
