Jewel Schaney, age 96 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Golden Years Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Jewel was born in Viper, Kentucky on December 7, 1921 to Hartley and Geneva (Caudill) Combs. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with her family. Jewel worked for Champion Paper for over 20 years.
Jewel is survived by her grandsons, Ron (Rachael) Bagley II, Dan (Trudi) Bagley, Dave (Erin) Bagley; her great grandchildren, Hayley, Reid, Hunter, Chloe, Sam, Katie, Elizabeth, Anna and Madalyn; numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends. Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Schaney; her daughter, Marcia Bagley; her son-in-law, Ron Bagley; two brothers, one sister, and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. Hamilton, OH 45013 with Pastor Nathan Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.
