Joan Rae (Hughes) Hisch

Joan Rae (Hughes) Hisch-Age75, of Hamilton, passed away Friday January 7 at 4:35 p.m. She was born April 3, 1935 in Dayton, KY, the daughter of Raymond and Janet (Asbell) Hughes. She graduated from Dayton High School in Dayton, KY in 1953. On May 14, 1960, she married James Robert Hisch. She gave up her position at Procter & Gamble in 1965, to begin raising her family. Joan returned to nursing school in 1983 and worked at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield for 15 years. Joan will be greatly missed by her many friends & family.

She is survived by her daughter Laura McFarland, her husband Brian and their children Raegan & Luke and her son David, his wife Trish and their children Cory & Josie; her brother Terry & his wife Joan, of Ft. Wright KY and her sister Diana Nauglebaugh and husband Ralph of Lakeside Park, KY. and many other family members & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim and her parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday January 12 from 5-8 at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. in Hamilton. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday January 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Ave. Following mass, there will be a visitation & memorial service from 1–1:30 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY, with burial to follow. The family thanks friends & family for their prayers & support.
