Joan R. Wilmer

Joan R. Wilmer, age 68 of Middletown passed away in her residence on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM. She was born in Hamilton on March 31, 1941 the daughter of Carl and Georgia (Baker) Miller. Joan was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was employed as a supervisor for Service Master for ten years. On January 30, 1960 in Hamilton she was married to Frank Wilmer, and he preceded her in death in 2002.

She is survived by two sons, Frank (Karen) Wilmer and Christopher Wilmer, both of Middletown; two brothers, Donald (Barb) Miller of Newport News, Virginia and Carl (Carol) Miller Jr. of Hamilton; one sister, Patricia Mount of Middletown; and three grandchildren, Tony, Ashley, and Britne. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Shirley Ebbing and Marilyn Gray.

A prayer service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Fr. John Civille of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
