Joann Adkins

JoAnn Adkins, age 92 of Riley Township, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Monday, January 22, 2024. JoAnn was born in Riley Township, Ohio on January 11, 1932 to Howard and Dorothy (nee King) Jackson. JoAnn retired from Miami University after 30 years of service. She was a member of Bridge Church of the Nazarene, formerly known as Millville Avenue Nazarene Church. JoAnn enjoyed growing flowers, cooking, sewing and loved her dog, Bonnie.

JoAnn is survived by her children, Henry (Sue) Adkins and Peggy Adkins; her nephews, Danny, David (Joyce), Sandy, Mark (Debbie) and Floyd Jackson; her great nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Luke), Kim, Luke, Jason, and Ryan (Erica); and three great great nieces.  JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Dorothy Jackson; her brothers, Howard (Betty) Jackson Jr. and George (Blanche) Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bridge Church of the Nazarene, 308 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Matt Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery, Riley Township, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bridge Church of the Nazarene.
