Joanne Mitchell

Joanne  Mitchell, age 94 of Overpeck, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Monday, November 18, 2024. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 13, 1930 the daughter of Eugene and Helen (Frye) Stempfley. In 1952 she married Donald Mitchell and he preceded her in death in 2003.

Joanne is survived by two children, Jennifer (Edwin) Chaney and Pamela (Olan) Douglas; six grandchildren, Carri (Randy) Mefford, Corinn Brown, Jason Chaney, Chad (Nicole) Brown, Alicia Burdick, and Cheryl (Alicia Sampson) Brown; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Lisa Brown and Jeffrey Mitchell; one granddaughter, Michelle Mitchell; one great grandson, Maysin Chaney; and two brothers, Richard and Douglas Stempfley.

Private graveside service will be held at Hickory Flat Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
