John F. Anderson, age 72 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Friday, April 13, 2018. He was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on October 17, 1945 the son of Dewey and Cynthia (Spencer) Anderson. On May 20, 1976 he married Mary Sue Hurst.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Anderson; two children, Jessica Anderson and Derek Anderson; seven siblings, Jean Bowling, GC (Leona) Anderson, Ann Stevens, Doris Reece, Faye (David) Lilibridge, Ronnie Anderson, and Clay (Pam) Anderson; four grandchildren, Isaiah, Ariana, Iris, and Kaly; numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Dewey Anderson, Earl Anderson, Charles "Blue" Anderson, Leonard Anderson, Doug Anderson, and Geraldine Bogolo.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
