John W. "Od" Beck Sr.

John W. "OD" Beck Sr., age 51 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 10:45 AM. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 24, 1958 the son of Warren Harding and Mary Dolores (White) Beck. John was employed as an automotive technician at Jake Sweeney Automotive and attended Field of Grace Church. In 1991 he married Deborah Weier.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Beck of Fairfield; two children, Lindsey Beck and John W. Beck Jr., both of Fairfield; two stepsons, Anthony (Julie) Lovett of Manchester, Kentucky and Christopher Lovett of Fairfield; two grandchildren, AJ and Aidan; three brothers, Harold (Judy) Beck of Trenton, Warren H. (Linda) Beck Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Robert Beck of Florida; five sisters, Peggy Allen of Chesapeake, Virginia, Rosemary Beck of Arizona, Patricia (John) Litzke of Davenport, Iowa, Alice (John) Teller of North Carolina, and Roxanna Latham of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his devoted friend and companion, Tina Vaughn of Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Bancroft.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Harold Beck and Pastor Anthony Lovett officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
